SUPPORT TO GRADUATE STUDENTS
All students are invited to two brainstorming sessions every semester where emerging ideas and work in progress are discussed among affiliate students, postdocs, and faculty in an informal setting. The Lab offers tailored support to graduate students at different levels of their academic career, and has junior fellows (first and second year) and senior fellows (third year and above).
To join the Macrofinance Lab, submit a request to jrc@princeton.edu, with the subject line: Macro-Finance Lab Application. Applications are accepted from first, second and third year Economics PhD students (details below).
First Year
Summer support to work with faculty on a research project. To apply, submit a CV and a one page statement indicating areas of interest and specifying if the applicant has contacted a faculty advisor or if assistance in identifying an advisor is requested.
Second or Third Year
Summer support to work with faculty on their third year research paper. Facilitated contact with domestic and foreign institutions to develop research project and access data. Funding for research travel and data. To apply, submit a CV and a two page research paper proposal (for second year students) or draft third year paper (for third year students).
Fourth Year +
Support development of thesis work by facilitating discussions with affiliated faculty and students. Funding for conference travel. Matching graduate students with undergraduate research assistants.
